Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Two Capitals (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Wristwatch app for Apple Watch and the website at wristwatchapp.com (together, the “Service”).

Summary

Wristwatch is a client for your own Plex Media Server. We do not run ads, do not sell personal information, and do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app. Account sign-in is handled by Plex. Payments are handled by Apple.

Information we process

Plex account and server access

To use Wristwatch you link a Plex account (via Plex’s PIN / device-link flow). An access token and related server connection details are stored on your Apple Watch (including in the device keychain where appropriate) so the app can talk to your Plex account and the Plex Media Server(s) you choose.

Media metadata, artwork, playback streams, and optional subtitle files are requested from your Plex server (and, for online subtitle search/download, from services your Plex server provides, such as OpenSubtitles via Plex). That traffic goes between your device and those services—not to Two Capitals’ servers.

Purchases

Optional unlock purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. We receive entitlement status on your device so Wristwatch can unlock playback. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple’s privacy practices apply to App Store transactions.

On-device preferences and caches

The app stores settings locally on your Watch (for example playback quality, subtitle size, subtitle language choice, free-preview usage, and cached soft-subtitle text). This data stays on your device unless you back up or sync your device through Apple’s systems.

Website

If you visit wristwatchapp.com, your browser and hosting provider may process standard technical data such as IP address, user agent, and request logs as part of delivering the site. We do not use marketing pixels or third-party ad trackers on the marketing site.

Support email

If you contact us at support@wristwatchapp.com, we will use the information you send (including your email address and message contents) to respond to your request.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use the app for cross-app advertising tracking.
• We do not require you to create a Two Capitals account.

Third parties

• Plex, Inc. — authentication and (through your server) media/subtitle services. See Plex’s privacy information.
• Apple Inc. — App Store, StoreKit, device backup/sync, and related platform services. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• Hosting — wristwatchapp.com may be hosted on infrastructure such as AWS Amplify, which may process server logs.

Data retention

On-device tokens, preferences, and caches remain until you sign out, delete the app, or clear them via the app or device settings. Support emails are retained as long as needed to handle your request and meet legal obligations.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

• Sign out of Plex in the app to remove the stored access token from the device.
• Delete the app to remove local Wristwatch data stored on that Watch.
• Manage App Store purchases and subscriptions (if any) through Apple ID settings.
• Contact us to ask questions about this policy.

International users

Wristwatch is operated from Canada. If you use the Service from another country, information you send us (such as support email) may be processed in Canada or where our service providers operate.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
